A lady is at a silent church event where everyone is in communal fellowshop via headphones.
Her friend attempts to contact her to retrieve her Bible but can not reach her. She manages to find a public gap in the mall floor aboove the church and shouts: "Help, this lady stole my Bible and does not want to return it."
A male usher in the church hears her, and shouts back in an attempt to calm her down: "She can't hear you. She's deep in fellowhip right now."
The lady shouts back: "What is your name?". He responds: "Jamiu Dieu". She screams even louder: "Help, Jamiu Dieu stole my Bible and does not want to return it." Within minutes a mob was formed, around her and the chuch location.
Jamiu was immediately threatened. The event administrators had to transport him and the friend in question to a secure location, away from the commotion. Thankfully, their interaction was recorded on event cameras, so there was no need for an extended integration.
Six months later, a judge orders her - Sheila Matthews - to 3 years in prison or a 100,000 USD fine for the defamation of Jamiue Dieu. This is because the mall clip of her scream went viral, and systematically ruined Jamiu's reputaation; particularly as it did not contain content from Jamiu's defensive position. Even when the event administrators published their version of events, it was discredited as falsified - due to the level of silience in the room, and the foreigness of the concept of a disco fellowship.
As a mediation attempt, Jamiu Dieur proposed through his lawyer that she creates a website with a singular webpage using her full name, that explains the situation from her perspective, and offers an apology on digitial record. She refuses: the cycle begins.
Every 3 yeards for 12 years, she is brought before a judge for an attempted mediation of the same offence. At the last iteration, she accepts; having spent over a decade fuming and deciding the best way to ruin Jamiu Dieu once and for all. Her Christian heart had gone entirely silent.
In the era before Twitter was X, she created an account with her full name and in a series of linked tweets repeated her account of the religio-disco fiasco. It was accepted by the counrt as a modest compromise, as she relayed she had neither the means nor resources to create or manage a website.
Over the years, her nefarious plan came to light. She let her daughter take over the account from a youthful age, and entirely change the username, display name and bio information - effectively drowning the confession in a pond of irrelevant and incoherent posts.
This was not the end. When Jamiu observed and formally reported this to the court, she cas called in and found guilty of diverting the course of justice. The original username was also found to have been reused by her and caused to be suspended on the social media platform.
For the integrity of justice, the obligation of the confession was passed to her daughter, and thereafter legal guardian. In a complusory tone, the judge on duty asked: "What is your name, child?". Shaken and confused, she responded: "Rachel Dieu". The court went aghast, revealing the broken nature of the situation and possible perpetration motives. In that moment, time paused.
